Resolve Jealousy Issues Quickly Through Hypnosis
Hypnosis can be an effective way to resolve jealousy issues in all aspects of life. Feelings of jealousy can arise in your personal life, at school, or work. The inability to control jealousy successfully can have devastating effects both on your life, and the lives of others. Jealousy is not a single emotion or feeling, but rather a mixture of many. These feelings could include sadness, hurt, self doubt, anger, inadequacy, loss, or rage. The use of hypnosis in resolving jealousy issues can bring about positive results amazingly fast.

The feeling of jealousy usually starts out very innocently at first. Perhaps, your spouse has worked late many times this month and one night you call the office and there is no answer. You start to wonder where he is, and question to yourself if he is really working late. The next time he says that he has to work late, you find yourself calling the office for no reason - just to make sure he is really there. Jealousy has taken hold and is starting to take over. In some instances, jealousy spins out of control. Hypnosis can help you gain control of your feelings in a case like this.

It is possible to also experience feelings of jealousy regarding a schoolmate, coworker, or even a neighbor or acquaintance. Perhaps someone at school is more popular than you. It may seem that they get good grades without even trying, or they may be dating someone that you really like. Your feeling of jealousy is something that you cannot control. Maybe a coworker received a promotion that you thought was going to be yours, or they were given the new office with a great view that you wanted. It is possible that a feeling of jealousy toward that coworker will grow. There may be a neighbor, or an acquaintance, who likes to boast about their extravagant vacations or their new luxury purchases. You might experience feelings of jealousy against that person.

The feeling of intense jealousy can occur rapidly or fester and grow slowly. Ultimately these feelings will erode your feelings of self worth and self esteem. One method of learning to control those jealous feelings, is through hypnotherapy. A hypnotherapist will help you to resolve your feelings of jealousy. Using visualization, the therapist will help you to picture how you want to be and feel. Generally, the visualization techniques help you to become a more positive person with increased self confidence and self-esteem.

Jealousy stirs feelings from deep within you which often cause you to feel insecure and inadequate. It also can cause you to distrust other people in your lives. Through hypnosis, the hypnotherapist is able to reach your subconscious mind and alleviate those feelings. Hypnosis can replace the negativity and doubt and replace it with a positive outlook.

Hypnotherapy sessions to relieve feelings of jealousy often achieve positive results very quickly. Once you are in a totally relaxed state, the hypnotherapist will be able to help you realize that your overactive imagination is feeding into your jealous behaviour and way of thinking. You will learn how to respond differently, and appropriately, to the same incidents and conditions that have caused the jealous feelings in the past.
What is Hypnotherapy and how does it work?
Although the word “sleep” is often used in correlation with hypnosis and hypnotherapy, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. It does, however, induce a trance-like condition that actually increases the subject’s state of awareness in their own subconscious. Because the subconscious is under the mental surface and we are mostly unaware of it in our normal conscious state, the hypnotic state is necessary to gain access to it.

A hypnotherapist, after the subject is in their hypnotic state, is able to suggest ideas to them as a form of therapy. These ideas are implanted deep into the psyche and can help with any number of issues. For example, while under hypnosis, a therapist may be able to suggest to you that cigarettes taste and smell awful, they make you sick and you want nothing to do with them. This is only a suggestion and may not work 100% the first time. Instead, the next time the subject picks up a cigarette, they may smoke it but will gain less enjoyment from it, hopefully leading them to eventually quit.

Hypnosis is the act of hypnotizing a subject. The practice of healing or positive growth through hypnosis is known as hypnotherapy. This is the method most subjects seek out to help them stop smoking, lost weight, reduce anxiety, and so on. Hypnotherapy focuses on ‘reprogramming’ certain behavior patterns within the mind. This can enable you to conquer your fears, bad habits and negative thoughts toward yourself.

Hypnotherapy can treat physical symptoms as well as mental ones. As the subject is placed under hypnosis, they are much more relaxed. This is more than a mental state, as the blood pressure and breathing will slow, releasing pressure on the heart and other organs. This is effective for pain management and often to promote physical healing after an injury or major surgery. Hypnotherapy is practiced on the principle that the mind and the body are one connected thing and that one can control the other.

Hypnosis is effective as a treatment process chiefly because it allows the subject to shut down the “thinking” part of the brain. In other words, under hypnosis you do not think about the stresses of your everyday life or the logistics. The non-analytical side of the brain (our right hemisphere) is empowered and allowed to be affected and cause changes in the person. This may seem a little farfetched for some, but millions of people around the world swear by these methods.

Hypnotherapy can treat any number of disorders from bad habits such as smoking and overeating, to suppressed memories that inhibit you from carrying on successful relationships. It has been endorsed by medical professionals as an effective pain management technique and is often chosen over epidurals during childbirth. However, none of these conditions can be treated effectively if the subject does not believe that they will. Because hypnosis is a science of the mind, it cannot be entered into involuntarily and must have your full cooperation in order to be effective.
Even Famous People use Hypnosis
Hypnosis is one of the mighty secrets used by star athletes and other famous people. To give you some ideas, Tiger Woods, one of the greatest pro golfers of all times uses hypnosis regularly. He not only uses it to enhance his performance but it keeps him focused and directed on and off of the golf course. Tiger is very spiritual and wholeheartedly believes in the power of hypnosis. Watch Tiger Woods the next time that he is golfing on TV. Pay close attention to what he does just before he makes his move. He blinks his eyes twice. This is a technique that he learned in hypnosis which is his way of putting himself right where he needs to be in order to excel at his game. It puts him another place where there is nothing but positive focus put on the task at hand.
Some of the greatest people that have ever lived have accomplished so much and have performed magnificent accomplishments during and after hypnosis. Just to name a few greats that might simply amaze you are Mozart, as history tells it, he composed a famous opera while under hypnosis. Car manufacturer and billionaire, Henry Ford was a loyal hypnosis patient as well as Thomas Edison. Jackie Kennedy-Onassis used hypnotherapy to help her overcome the tragedy that she experienced during the assassination of her late husband John during his US presidency. Finally, it could be coincidence but the coach of the LA Lakers used hypnosis on his basketball team, including Kobe Bryant and Shaquil O’Neal. Interestingly enough, the team went on to win three NBA championships in a row.
The actor, Kevin Costner was in Hawaii filming the movie “Waterworld” and had become seasick due to all of the water scenes. He has his own hypnotists that he generally works with and had him flown in to put him under hypnosis which cured his sea sickness. History also reveals that Sigmund Freud was researching hypnosis when he happened to discover the theory of modern psychiatry. These are all some pretty amazing and intelligent people who are relying on hypnosis to guide them through life.
Hypnosis is used to enhance performance, modify behavior, and ease stress throughout the corporate world, personal lives and sports. Hypnosis is a way to alleviate any obstacle that is preventing you from maximizing your performance in any way. Many pro golfers use hypnosis because of the intensity of the game and the concise concentration that is required. So it is quite commonplace for pros such as Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus to frequently use hypnotherapy.
As the therapist taps into the subconscious mind, feeding it with positive information allowing it to know that you are efficient, effective, positive, you can handle stress, you are a hard worker, and successful is how and why so many sports professionals and celebrities choose this method. It is all natural and proven to work, if you allow it to. You have to believe that it will work and want it to work, and it will.
Motivation with the help of hypnosis
Hypnosis is a powerful tool in self improvement and can help you change many factors of your life and personality that you dislike. Along with other forms of therapy and life coaching, hypnosis can be very useful as a motivational technique. The methods of hypnosis that help you set, visualize and obtain goals are great if you are striving for success but having difficulties getting started.

When beginning hypnosis, it is most important to find someone you are comfortable with and who is a competent professional. Hypnotherapists are powerful people that have the ability to work wonders in the human mind, as long as you trust them. You may find it helpful to find recommendation from peers or professional associations. If that is not a possibility, then research the different types of hypnotherapy, decide which method sounds best for your needs and find a professional that can assist you with that.

Once you have found someone that you trust and that understands your reasons for hypnotherapy, you can get started on your road to a more motivated and successful lifestyle. It will be easier to address your motivation issues with your hypnotherapist if you put some thought into it before the session. Be ready to tell him or her what you aspire to be or do and what road blocks you currently run into. However, keep an open mind. You may be surprised to find out that what you thought was holding you back from your successes was not it at all, and that your lack of motivation stems from somewhere completely different.

Many people find difficulty in self-motivating because the goal they have set seems so unattainable. Hypnotherapy can help with this through visualization techniques. Under hypnosis, you may be instructed to visualize yourself in the situation you are trying to achieve. Because Hypnosis deals with the subconscious mind, picturing these things under Hypnosis will implant the vision deep inside your mind and make it much more realistic to you. The more realistic it feels, the more you will believe you could achieve it, and the more motivated you will be.

Hypnotherapy can strengthen the will of the mind and teach it to bypass the things that have kept you from the success you have sought your whole life. By instilling motivating thoughts and pictures into the mind, it works from the inside out to help you in your accomplishments. However, Hypnosis is not a miracle cure and cannot be expected to work on its own. As with any other form of physical or psychological therapy, it should be combined with other methods for best results.

Motivation begins with positive thinking and positive actions. Do not think that you are the only person in the world that is not self motivated and that is lazy at times. It is human nature to be this way, and also human nature to want to do something about it. Hypnosis in the hands of a skilled professional can open the mind and ready the spirit for the successes that will come flying your way once you’ve found your motivation.
Hypnotherapy: To Treat Phobias
There are so many phobias, most we either ever knew existed or we can not pronounce them. It seems like there are phobias to phobias. Hypnotherapy is one way that can eliminate your phobias entirely and it also works for alleviating pain and stress in your life. Hypnotherapy works remarkably well for phobias and panic attacks. Through hypnotherapy, the cause of your phobia will be detected and you will be able to overcome it and put it behind you.
Although each person is different based on their problems and needs, normally a therapist will evaluate you and develop a strategic plan to help you overcome your phobia. You will then go through what is typically expected when you see a hypnotist. You will relax in a comfortable position on a chair or a couch; your eyes will be closed as you drift off to a state of extreme relaxation. The therapist will ensure that you get to that point by various methods of relaxation and calming. The therapist wants to speak to your subconscious mind and he can only do that if you are deeply relaxed. The core of every problem lies within the subconscious mind. Through the trained therapist and the exposure of your vulnerable subconscious mind they will be able to find out the true nature of your problem and without mincing words, solve it. The number of treatments that you will need will depend on the strength of your phobia as well as the nature of it. There are often self hypnosis audio tapes that you will be instructed to listen to at home while you are relaxed.
The conscious mind has all kinds of hang-ups which act as barriers to getting in touch with your subconscious mind. Through hypnotherapy, a trained therapist can bypass the conscious mind and get to the subconscious mind which is responsible for your phobias. Once the therapist is in your subconscious, he can literally back your inner fear into a corner and insist that it leave. Hence, you are on the road to recovery as you have released that inner demon.
Hypnotherapy is simply mind over matter. Here is an example for you; fifty people volunteer to do a clinical experiment. 25 are given the prescribed drug while the other 25 are given a placebo, which is normally a sugar wafer. No one knows who got what but when they are interviewed later, people who took the sugar wafer insisted that they felt much better. How? Mind over matter, because they thought they were given something to give them relief, it did. That is your subconscious working overtime again. We, personally have no access to our subconscious, which is where all of the bad (and good) stuff is stored.
While it is true that some people are not as susceptible to hypnosis as others, that is very rare. The client however has to face hypnosis in a positive fashion and have faith that it will work. It is usually done in a quick session but certain patients and certain conditions can take a bit longer. Some do, but most health insurance plans do not cover hypnotherapy.
Using Hypnosis to Resolve Jealousy
Jealousy is a natural human feeling brought on by simply wanting something someone else has. Though it may be perfectly natural to feel this emotion, what many people choose to do fueled by jealousy is where its harm lies. Crimes of passion are almost always jealousy driven, as well as those of theft and vandalism. There is a reason jealousy is one of the seven deadly sins that leads to the more criminal offenses than any other. If you have issues with jealousy, part of your duty as a responsible human being is to constructively deal with the jealous tendencies without doing harm to yourself or other people.

Hypnosis has been sought my many people as a way of easing feelings of jealousy. As a treatment method, hypnosis will open your mind to suggestion and allow you to explore the root causes of your jealousy. On the outside, it may be simple to see what causes the jealousy: seeing your girlfriend talking to an ex-boyfriend, or knowing that your husband is attracted to another woman. However, what hypnosis is able to uncover about your jealousy is that it is truly tied to feelings of insecurity and your own fear of loss. Only after you are able to pinpoint these factors can hypnosis truly begin to easy the jealous feelings that plague you.

Depending on the hypnotherapist that you choose, the sessions will be conducted in different ways to deal with your specific issues. For example, you will probably be instructed to picture those particular people and things that trigger your jealousy. It can be difficult at first to force yourself to confront these scenarios, but confrontation is a key ingredient to using hypnosis to resolve jealousy. The hypnosis exercises will help you associate these people and scenarios with happy emotions and trick your mind into feeling anything but jealous. The hypnotherapist may also give you exercises to do on your own that will teach you to think of happy or funny memories when you see the person or thing that turns your blood green.

Most people that seek hypnosis treatment for their jealousy can feel results even after their first session with a professional. Though it is usually recommended that a series of sessions will be the most beneficial, (although with the right therapist jealousy can be resolved in a few hours) it does help one feel more confident that hypnosis for resolving jealousy is valid. It is also usually suggested that you meet with the hypnotist for a consultation before the actual treatment begins. This will allow you to decide if the chemistry is right between the two of you. It may seem silly to think, but if you happen to meet a hypnotherapist that somehow reminds you of someone that brings out the jealousy feelings, it will be difficult to find the treatments effective.

Hypnosis is a mind science and cannot be entered into involuntarily. You must be cooperative and open to the possibility for hypnosis to help resolve your jealous emotions. As with any time you attempt to change something about your mind and character, you have to want to and make a conscious decision to beat the jealousy and allow yourself to become a more confident, centered person. You will find that treating jealousy through hypnosis will improve personal and professional relationships and lead to a future of happiness.
Using hypnosis to boost your motivation.
Let’s face it, some people are naturally motivated and some just do not have what it takes. Motivation is too much like work and although some may call it just plain lazy, it can really hinder a person’s life. Today, you will find out that there is hope. You can become the person that you always wanted to be and have personal motivation, sports motivation, and business motivation through the power of hypnosis.
You are going to get out of life what you put into it, it is that simple. If you do not put in a lot you will walk out empty handed but if you are motivated and hunger to succeed, you will have wealth and self satisfaction. I want you to know that wealth is not defined by money. Hypnosis can not control how much money you will have but it can motivate you into making sure that you have as much as you can possibly attain on your own.
Lacking motivation can be defined as wanting to do something but just not doing it, not finishing tasks or projects because you lost your vigor to complete it, or are you just wasting too much time doing nothing? Something in your subconscious is holding you back from being the person that you want to be. Through hypnosis is the only way to discover what that barrier is. Once it is identified and removed, you will no longer procrastinate and be unmotivated so be careful what you wish for. No pun intended!
Motivation is what gets us through our everyday routines. Motivation is also what gives us the need and want to strive harder and accomplish more. We try to better our relationships, our jobs, our parenting skills, our friendships, and everything else that we do. When you utilize hypnosis for motivational purposes the reason that it works so good is because your subconscious is told that you want to feel better about yourself and you want to better your self image. Hypnotherapy works in a way that tells your subconscious that you can do anything that you want to do and nothing can or will stop you.
From motivation in sports, to business; from quitting smoking to losing weight, hypnotherapy for motivation can really make a difference. Think about it, without motivation you would not be able to have what it takes to accomplish much. After hypnosis, it will not be like magical powers swept over you, you are going to have to do a little maintenance on your own. You must continue to visualize and see what could be if you were motivated enough to make it happen. For example, you are single and want to get a nice partner to spend time with. You keep telling yourself that today is the day that you are going to make a step in the right direction towards that goal. Unfortunately, today comes and goes and you have procrastinated once again. Through the power of hypnosis, you will visualize what life with that special someone could be like. It would be so nice to get up off of that couch and have something to look forward to.
Look Inside of Your Mind to Quit Smoking.
Being able to quit smoking can be accomplished by merely the power of suggestion with a hypnotherapy stop smoking programme. For smokers, cigarettes are very important. Even with the rising costs and numerous health warnings, smokers still do not ever leave home without them. Most smokers do want to quit, some have even made several failed attempts, and others go to successfully quit but trade the smoking health related problems for an extra 40 or 50 pounds.

Smoking is an emotional and psychological/habitual issue, so when a person quits and claims that the main reason that they quit was because of health issues or expenses, that is the wrong approach as they should focus on quitting as a positive reinforcement and plan to look to the future. Hypnotherapy for quit smoking has been very successful in helping people stop smoking.

Chances are that you would quit smoking if you knew it would be an easy task. Especially if you knew you would not fail. Think of yourself in the near future as a non smoker and all of the benefits that non smokers get to enjoy. Imagine how proud you will be once you have kicked the habit. Hypnosis is nothing more than a state of mind that a therapist assists you in getting into. In order to get to that state, you need to be completely relaxed both physically and mentally. Most therapists will take you to a happy time as your focal point before they take you to the bleak issue of quitting smoking. The process that is then used is called desensitization and that is basically replacing a bad experience or habit with a good one. Usually the good experience that replaces the bad feeling or in this case, the quitting of cigarettes, would be replaced with the positive thought that you held onto while under hypnosis. This concept is for the hypnotists to put you in a trance in order to access your sub conscious mind, which is at that point completely vulnerable.

The higher the patient’s motivation and desire is to quit smoking, the more successful the outcome will be. The right side of the brain is the side that is responsible for emotion and creativeness while the left side is responsible for logic. Yet, during hypnosis, the right side is generally more stimulated. The left side of the brain during hypnosis has a higher level cognitive processing and behavior. In order for a therapist to put someone into a hypnotic state or a trance, there has to be the right conditions such as intense concentration, extreme relaxation and high suggestibility.
While the subject is in this state, which is very similar to that of dreaming, the hypnotist is able to incorporate on the power of suggestion to influence the mind of the patient. If a person enters a clinic for the purpose of being hypnotized and they believe the hypnosis will work they will have a much better chance than if they come in believing otherwise and the reason for that again is the power of suggestion.

For the purpose of quitting smoking, a person that decides to utilize hypnosis with a positive attitude will allow the hypnotist to replace the need to smoke with a more positive action or memory, making the urge to light up again a distant memory.
Enhance your sex life through the power of hypnosis.
Sex is a very big part of a relationship and when one partner lacks in a specific area or loses the drive, this can become a serious problem to say the least. One partner may have a problem but really does not know why. Maybe the female can not achieve an orgasm or maybe the male has no stamina. Regardless of the problem, there are types of hypnosis that can make everything right. Some people might just lack the motivation to actually put forth the effort to do it; again motivation hypnosis can help that too. Hypnosis can really help almost anything because it is a mind mastering skill where a neutral person (therapist) can go deep into your subconscious and find out exactly what it is that is hindering your sexual spirit.

If a male’s subconscious believes that he is in a sexual encounter solely for his male orgasm then that has to be taken care of as no one is going to want to have sex with him. The therapist would then unlock his subconscious through hypnosis and discover why he feels this way and get rid of that image and turn him into a wonderful sex partner that is competent, has stamina, and both gives and receives sexual pleasure with his partner. It is quite common for men to have performance anxiety, ejaculation control, erection problems, and being completely relaxed during lovemaking. Any of these factors could be an underlying contributing problem.

Perhaps a female can not achieve an orgasm, which is fairly common; it is because she is not allowing herself to experience the orgasm. Something is present in her subconscious that is stopping her from actually experiencing an orgasm. She might get very close to one but through hypnosis she will be able to defeat whatever it is that is stopping her from experiencing this mind, body and soul experience. It is very common for women to be unable to relax during sex, lack of communication with her partner, issues from the past, and liking her own body. Again, these issues are probably the reason that a female would not be able to have an orgasm.

For obvious reasons when two people are intimate together they both want to perform well and get the maximum pleasure from the encounter. If all of the variables are not in place and one or more is missing, needless to say, maximum satisfaction will not have been gained. Even if a doctor prescribes the male some Viagra, that will take care of an erection problem but there is more to lovemaking than just an erection That is why hypnosis is such a satisfying option as it allows the therapist to tap into the subconscious and discover exactly what is prohibiting these encounters from being satisfying for both partners.

Whatever negative underlying issues that are exploiting your subconscious will be removed and then you will be able to enjoy a fulfilling and healthy sex life. Through the technique of hypnosis, both partners will be able to overcomes their anxieties and continue on with a great sex life.
Hypnosis Helps Cure Your Jealousy
Do you find yourself in a constant panic that your significant other is going to cheat on you? Are you obsesses to the point that it is all that you can think of. If he/she called you and said that they were going out on the town with friends for an evening, would you completely freak out and attempt to sabotage his going or maybe even tag along? Do you invade their privacy by checking their call logs on their cell phone and looking at their email accounts? Does something as simple as you calling them and them not answering the call send you into a tailspin of thoughts that are irrational and out of control? Is all of this happening when you have no reason at all to doubt your partner?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above you have a jealousy problem which can grow to the point where your partner can no longer stand to be with you. The relationship that you are trying so hard to protect will dissolve quickly because of your own insecurities. You may even realize that your feelings of uncontrollable jealousy are ridiculous but you just can not stop obsessing. During this time many people turn to drugs or alcohol in a futile attempt to deal with their emotions but that is never the answer to any problem.
There is another way to deal with your issues and save your relationship. Therapy and hypnotherapy is an approach that can be taken to help you resolve some of your negative feelings and low self esteem, which is likely responsible for these thoughts. Hypnosis can further help you get to the very root of your problem so that it can be corrected. It also addresses the issue of coming to terms with your jealousy and deal with them in a constructive and a healthy manner. During your hypnosis treatment the hypnotist will get you into a state where you will be able to come into touch with the way that you want to be which will increase your confidence and self esteem. After the hypnosis, the plan is that the replacement of your negative thoughts that are now reinforced with the positive thoughts will give you a better self image leading to a much better way to deal with your former thoughts that were out of control.
When you think about the time and energy that is spent wasted on delusional jealousy that could be spent in many other constructive ways it really is worth the time and investment to correct this problem. Sometimes, jealousy does not show its face in just a relationship with a partner, it can manifest in many ways. Jealousy is very ugly and it can show itself within the work place, family or even total strangers. You may get jealous if a friend buys something that is better than what you have or if a co worker advances and you do not. Sometimes there seem to be good reasons for jealousy and many times there are not. Therapists use a combination of neuro-linguistics and hypnotherapy to actually retrain your thoughts and turn the negative jealousy into positive thinking.
Hypnosis - A Successful Treatment to Stop Smoking
Many people have used hypnotherapy in order to stop smoking and have achieved successful results. The number of smokers in the UK is estimated to be almost 14 million people. Many of these people that smoke realize the dangers that are involved, but are unable to stop smoking. Simply put, a person that smokes has two choices, whether to smoke or not to smoke. Sadly, for many of those people the choice is not that simple.

It is a known fact that smoking is an addictive habit that many people are unable to break for themselves. Hypnosis used to break the habit of smoking, according to a study in the 1990s, was the most successful method used to stop smoking.

When a hypnotherapist meets with a person who wants to stop smoking, the first thing the
hypnotherapist must do is determine if that person really wants to stop smoking. A well-trained hypnotherapist will be able to make this determination. In order for hypnosis is to be successful, the smoker must have a real desire to stop smoking. Contrary to what some people believe hypnosis used to stop smoking is not a magical cure to breaking the nicotine habit, the client will need to have motivation and have to decide that he/she wants to quit smoking

The hypnotherapist puts the client into a calm, relaxed state by using a method of relaxation. This method is called progressive relaxation and is based on the use of visual imagery. Using this method, the hypnotherapist is not only able to relax the smoker’s entire body, but also put him completely at ease. It is important that the smoker does not feel threatened in any way.

The state of mind that the hypnotist is able to achieve is very similar to the way a person feels just before falling asleep. This is considered an altered state of consciousness. During this state of consciousness your attention is much sharper and more focused and you are more aware and open to suggestions. In this conscious state, people also tend to be less critical and disbelieving.

Once the smoker is put into this altered state of consciousness, the hypnotherapist is able to reach the subconscious part of the mind and deliver suggestions. Once these suggestions reach the subconscious mind they become a part of the smoker’s natural mind set. These suggestions will result in the smoker naturally feeling like a non-smoker. His thought process will have actually been changed through deep hypnosis.

The change in the smokers thought process, combined with having discussed with the hypnotherapist all of the dangers associated with smoking prior to being hypnotized, result in the smoker losing the desire to smoke. In effect, a therapist has used hypnosis to alter the mind set of the smoker to become that of a person who no longer smokes.

In order for hypnosis to be a successful technique to stop smoking, the hypnotherapist must also instill positive thoughts of a non-smoking future. These would include the health benefits associated with not smoking, the immediate physical effects which are experienced, and instilling conditioned responses to counter any future urge to smoke. Using hypnosis as a means to stop smoking, has been the only successful method used by many former smokers.
Weight management: Exercise, eating right, and hypnosis?
The weight is off, so now what?

After a long struggle with weight loss, it can be difficult to revert to normal life. The key to successful weight management is recognising that there is no cure-all diet; there is only a lifestyle change. While weight loss can be fun watching the numbers drop can give a feeling of success and reward, weigh management is a lifelong journey whose reward is health, increased energy levels, and increased self esteem.

To reach weight loss goals a combination of exercise and food modification are the keys to success. A combination of both can lead to a healthy weight loss, but the issues behind the weight gain remain unresolved.

Below is a list of things that can be done to help maintain weight

Nutrition regimen: Just because the diet is over doesn’t mean you can celebrate with cake, ice cream, and chips everyday of the week. Don’t rule out the good things in life keep them in moderation. Continue to maintain and modify the diet so that it suits your needs. Do not obsess over the scale, but keep track of any changes in weight. If things keep moving up or down, change the daily diet accordingly. If there are difficulties, consult a nutritionist.

Hypnosis: Not just something on TV, hypnosis is a tool used by many professionals in weight management. Hypnosis can help pinpoint and address the underlying issues of overeating. It can also assist maintenance through suggestions that can increase what is often referred to as ‘will power.’ A professional should always be consulted.

Exercise programme: Just because the weight is gone, doesn’t mean you can return to the sofa. It’s important to maintain an exercise programme and continue to build and develop it. Continue to test limits and improve strength. This programme will help to maintain the weight loss and improve general health. Find a sport, activity, or hobby that can help motivate to continue the exercise programme.

The battle has only begun, but that isn’t a negative thing. The battle is for your health and well-being. It is one worth fighting. A combination of diet, exercise and hypnosis provides everything necessary for weight management. Mental and physical health can help to build a balanced and happy life. They can give you the ability to be strong and powerful in all other aspects of your life.
What is the most effective method to quit smoking? Hands down hypnosis.
The consequences of smoking are well known. Heart disease, lung cancer, and emphysema are just three of the many possible diseases that smokers become more prone to due to the habit. Most do not smoke out of a desire to get diseases. People smoke because it is relaxing, it is social, and it is also, to a smoker, enjoyable.

Quitting smoking is, according to many, as difficult as quitting more serious illegal drugs. The nicotine is in the blood. Withdrawal can bring on the shakes, headaches, nervousness, and insomnia. Cravings are strong and come long after the initial quitting period. To have the strength to resist these feelings is the difficult part.

Smoking cessation is a billion dollar industry. The products to choose from are vast. Nicotine gum, hypnotherapy tapes, stop smoking groups, and an assortment of books at any bookstore provide many ways to reduce the cravings and ease the withdrawal. Most of these products cost money and it can be hard to make your way through the jungle of stop smoking products.

In 1992 the most comprehensive study of smokers trying to quit was carried out at the University of Iowa. Two researchers compounded the information from many different studies using the data collected from over 72,000 smokers. These smokers lived throughout North America, Scandinavia and Europe. The results were published in New Scientist magazine.

On average, the different quit smoking methods had an average of a 25% success rate. Joint techniques, combining exercise and breathing techniques, acupuncture, and stop smoking groups where participants smoke stale cigarettes in confined spaces did not rise above 30% success rate.

The research project examined the data from forty-eight different hypnosis based studies on quitting smoking. Over six thousand smokers participated in these studies. Hypnosis, compared to the other quit smoking techniques, was off the charts. An average of 80% success rate was seen in the different studies. In contrast nicotine gum provided a 10% success rate. The self-help books achieved 9% change.

Hypnosis is clearly the strongest method for quitting smoking successfully. As smoking cessation can be an expensive endeavour, early investment in a hypnosis programme can be money saving. Research shows that often many sessions are not necessary. The average smoker needs between one to two sessions. A trained and licensed professional is also a key to success.
Are you being your authentic self?
The average worker spends over 45 hours a week on the job. The remaining time has to include sleeping, visiting friends and family, taking care of children, taking care of yourself, practicing your favourite hobbies, sports, etc. Prioritising becomes one of our main and most stressful tasks. How can you remain true to you, if you are so busy trying to be true to everyone else, including the boss, children, spouse, and friends?

Personal development is a way to improve our self-understanding and self-awareness. By taking time to focus on our personal development it becomes possible to improve our functionality in all other aspects of our lives.

When we aren’t in touch with our authentic selves it becomes more difficult to reconcile the imbalances in our lives. These imbalances can present themselves in a variety of symptoms including: stress, fatigue, difficulty eating, overeating and headaches, just to name a few. By focusing on personal development these issues can be overcome without the use of medication.

Hypnotherapy is a tool that can aid in personal development. Although hypnosis is often shown on television as a bizarre trick that makes people act strangely and quack like a chicken, in reality it is a field that is highly regarded by the scientific community. In a study that was published in Scientific American, the hypnotic state is shown to be one that lies between the state of being awake and being asleep. In this state, scientists have found, most people are more open to the power of suggestion.

These suggestions can be a variety of positive personal development tools that can make your life easier. They can be suggestions that you try to tell yourself in the middle of stressful moments, such as ‘I am capable of dealing with difficult situations’ or ‘I can take a deep breath, sit down for five minutes, and still do a good job.’ Instead of telling them to yourself, with hypnosis, they go directly to your subconscious.

Personal development centres on the basic principle that you have time to take care and develop you. Hypnosis provides the tools that can help to make the time that you devote to yourself, more effective.

Terry Doherty is a hypnotherapist who works with patients throughout Europe dealing with personal development issues. His reputable program is ideal for individuals and companies looking to maximise the potential of their workforce.
No Room for Smokers Left in the Business World
July 2007 will change the lives of British smokers almost instantaneously. That is the day that the overwhelming smoking ban takes effect and smokers are cast out into the streets to inhale their barely-legal tobacco. In preparation for the culture shock expected, the government will begin to slowly implement changes, meaning that you could be affected even sooner than you think.

Is it impossible to imagine enjoying that pint without a cigarette in hand? Do you love to enjoy that first morning cigarette over a hot cup of black coffee in the back of your favourite café? For the privilege of smoking in the great outdoors, British smokers will continue to pay the highest price for cigarettes in the EU. British smokers pay almost double as much for a pack of cigarettes than the Dutch, Belgians, and Austrians.

As work places eliminate smoking rooms in accordance to the new law, workers must seek other areas further and further away from their desks. This means that a five minute smoke break becomes a fifteen-minute break. Employers are not happy. In several countries that have already adapted such bans, discussions regarding getting rid of cigarette breaks entirely keep popping up.

It is in every employer’s best interest to help their employees quit smoking. Not only will this minimize breaks, it will show initiative before more potential law changes. By contributing to employees’ efforts to quit smoking, the employer gains a healthier employee who is on site more than their smoking peers. In the US, studies show that smokers cost employers over $1500 per year in lost productivity in 1999. Paying for employees smoking cessation programmes is among the most cost-effective benefits that an employer can provide. The return for the company is enormous.

According to early studies leading up to the smoking ban, 15% of smokers believed they would quit if smoking were banned from all work places. According to the largest smoking cessation study ever, the success rate for quitting using willpower alone is as low as 6%. This means that despite a desire to quit, come next winter, many Brits will be shivering out in the cold.

Quitting smoking with hypnosis increases your success rate substantially – it’s a fact! Within only one session with hypnotherapist Terry Doherty, you can be smoke-free. Instead of trying to find a top-of-the-line winter jacket to keep warm next winter, a licensed hypnotherapist, can help you in the privacy of your own living room. The investment you make will be one in yourself and your business.

Stress in the Work Place: Active Tips to Avoid Burnout
Stress in the workplace is a growing problem. Time and time again, hard-working employees hit the wall and lose all ability to perform. These employees show few outward signals prior to collapsing, as they want to impress and succeed. Any sign of weakness can be misinterpreted, and thus, they keep it to themselves.

According to the Health and Safety Executive one in six employees finds their work situation to be very or highly stressful. This means, in larger companies, the effects can be quite large. The same study calculates that 10.5 million sick days can be linked to stress-related. The costs of these sick days and performance can be enormous for both large companies and small companies.

There are many options open to companies to tackle the issue of stress before it grows out of control. Several of these can offer employees different ways to cope with stress both in the workplace and at home. These methods can be provided by an employer and have showed a great deal of success at large companies.

1) Relaxation techniques: Learned relaxation techniques can help employees deal with stressful situations. These techniques can consist of breathing methods, short walks outside, and meditation classes. These relaxation techniques can be learned or encouraged by management.

2) Organising and prioritising: Allow employees to organise and prioritise in a way that benefits both you and the employee. By letting them structure their day in a way they feel is manageable the results can be improved. Often times organisers and time-management specialists can help give structure.

3) Access to exercise: employees who exercise regularly are better able to cope with stress. Access to a gym, yoga classes, or aerobics can pay back ten-fold in cutting the number of sick-days.

4) Self-hypnosis: A learned technique that can create more focused employees capable of dealing with stress. The technique allows the employee to focus on problems and issues at work as they arise. This often requires work with a licensed professional, but once the employees have learned the skills, they can use them without added expense in the future.

Each of these methods involves a basic investment in the employee that increases initial costs for the employer, but according to the HSE study, these costs will come back to the employer in the amount of sick-days retained. Also, having healthier and happier employes can only enhance quality of performance. Any combination of the above techniques to reduce stress should see a result.
Jeff T. : A case study in confidence, performance anxiety and hypnosis
In 1999 Jeff T. was in his last year at University sixth months shy of receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Despite his good grades and his successful achievement thus far the idea of completing the next sixth months of study overwhelmed Jeff T. completely. Three months prior to completion, he dropped out, choosing a part-time job at a local restaurant over a career in economics and a potential Upper Second degree.

After dropping out, Jeff T. worked for several years as a waiter at an upscale Italian restaurant. He enjoyed the flexibility of the job, the income was decent, and he could support himself with little challenge. His high-level of performance did not go unrecognised by the restaurant owner who thought immediately of Jeff when the staff manager left the restaurant.

At first Jeff T was pleased with the promotion. It meant a higher income, he could choose his own schedule, and it would give him some prestige. Two months into the job and he was considered a success by his colleagues and his boss. He managed the staff, made fair decisions, and worked hard. However, Jeff T’s confidence began to fade. He questioned his choices, he questioned his ability, and he questioned his will. After one bad night, when two staff members called in sick, Jeff threw in the towel and left his job on the spot.

He applied to another restaurant in another neighbourhood as a waiter shortly thereafter and accepted a position at a similar restaurant. He fell back into the same routine and enjoyed working as a waiter for several months. In the end, Jeff’s new manager did not want to pass on his great experience and personality and offered Jeff a superior position. Jeff declined immediately, but two months later found himself regretting his decision. He didn’t want to be a waiter for life, but couldn’t quite trust himself to take on more responsibility. More responsibility meant more risk and Jeff was extremely unsure of his ability to take on more risk.

Jeff consulted his doctor during his routine examination and the doctor recommended Jeff try hypnosis as a way to change his self-perception for the better. Terry Doherty, a well reputed hypnotherapist, was one of the names given to Jeff by his doctor and he made an appointment shortly thereafter.

During the first consultation Jeff presented his problem to Terry and also presented his goals, to take on larger challenges. While under hypnosis during the first session, Terry suggested that Jeff focus on his strengths, such as his planning abilities, his mathematical skills, and his social skills, instead of his weaknesses. After the session Jeff described himself as feeling stronger and more self-assured.

The two booked a series of 4 sessions, the next two consisted of similar methodology as the first, building Jeff’s confidence by boosting his positive thinking. The final session focused on self-hypnosis and gave Jeff the tools to continue his progress at home on his own.

After completing his series of courses with Terry, Jeff returned to his restaurant job and accepted the promotion. During the days he returned to school to finish his economic degree. He opened his own restaurant six months ago to positive reviews.
Confidence can get you everywhere
It’s the third time a spot in upper management opens up and you are overlooked again. The result is an overwhelming feeling of self-doubt. The voices in your head repeat the idea that no one sees the hard work you do. No one really thinks the job you do is good enough.

This monologue plays and replays in the head of people dealing with a lack of confidence. What results is a self-perpetuating cycle, without taking steps to make oneself noticeable, one’s hard work and effort doesn’t always stand out as much.

Often times a lack of self-confidence stems from things that others have said years and years ago that play on repeat in our heads. If one heard negative things from parents, peers, teachers or colleagues, these voices remain. They can hold people back from making decisions that are in their best interest and that reflect confidence.

This lack of confidence and repetitive thought can also lead to anxiety. The anxiety is reflected in all sorts of actions that can undermine one’s performance. Your boss might see the anxiety reflected back in work production, presentation, and performance.

While someone with a lack of confidence sits and waits for their boss to notice their hard work, someone with a greater amount of confidence might waltz in and present their efforts. They might make their interest in upper management known to those around them. They might seek a mentor or an advisor in upper management to guide them. All of these actions take a great deal of confidence.

There are many ways of boosting self-confidence, but key is to change the voices and ideas that repeat in one’s head. In place of ‘you are no good at math’ one might hear ‘if you spend some more time with this, you could figure it out.’ There are many ways of changing the voices to a more uplifting tone.

The popularity of hypnosis as a measure of dealing with a lack of confidence has been increasing over the years. It provides a unique opportunity to introduce some of the positive thoughts directly to the subconscious while the patient is in a hypnotic state. The positive thoughts are introduced as suggestions that can alter the way the brain perceives its surroundings. Thus, these new positive thoughts can override the old thought systems and lead to an increase in productivity almost immediately.

Licensed Hypnotherapist Terry Doherty provides a full range of services that include confidence-building work. He creates personalised programmes that intertwine personal coaching, hypnosis, and NLP that has led to improved self-confidence in patients throughout Great Britain and Europe.
Hypnosis helps cope with stress
The problems started for Johanna when she returned to work shortly after her daughter entered school. She had looked forward to returning to work as an assistant after spending a good half of the last decade at home raising her children. After two years of balancing her hectic schedule at work and her busy home life with two young children, Johanna felt like she was about to hit the wall.

It was getting harder and harder to get out of bed in the morning. She was exhausted all day long. Her appetite began to wane. One day, on the way home from work, Johanna felt her heart begin to pound in her chest. She couldn’t catch her breath and had to pull over by the side of the road. Afraid she was having a heart attack, Johanna consulted a doctor immediately. Her heart showed no direct sign of distress and she was diagnosed with a panic attack.

Johanna felt her only real choice was to quit her job. The added stress to her life was too much for her to cope with. It would mean a real financial struggle for her family, but at least she would be healthy. While reading more information about panic attacks, Johanna came across a website dealing with hypnosis.

After some research, Johanna contacted world-renowned hypnotherapist Terry Doherty to try to solve her stress related problems and keep her job. Despite his long resume of experience, Terry travels to the homes across the UK and other Europeans to offer personal coaching. Terry’s experience and fine-tuned technique give him a unique ability to assess and resolve stress issues in a highly effective manner.

Terry worked with over a period of six sessions where Johanna could address the issues behind her stress at the same time as learning coping mechanisms to help with stressful situations.

During the sessions, Johanna concentrated on breathing and somatic (body) techniques that she could use when she felt situations were becoming too stressful. These techniques were natural methods that she could incorporate into her daily routine at any given time. Johanna also focused heavily on positive thinking that enable her to collapse her negative stressful thoughts.. These positive thoughts would form a strong defence against an possible future panic attacks and feelings of anxiety.

Throughout the course of sessions with Terry, Johanna gained a better understanding of the stress in her life and its’ positive and negative aspects. She could appreciate and cope with the stress at work that entailed reasonable deadlines. She learned to set limits on herself and know when to say ‘enough.’

After the sessions were completed, Johanna returned to work feeling relaxed and refreshed. The tools she mastered during her sessions with Terry gave her the strength she needed to face the difficult tasks she knew lay ahead. Her children continued to participate in the after school activities they wanted to participate in. She could be a productive assistant without having to sacrifice her patience and nerves. Her breathing skills and relaxation techniques continued to improve and
She said ‘’ I am no feeling so relaxed with my life, I feel I have turned a corner and now moving in the right direction ‘’.
Lowering Stress Levels in the Rat Race
Stress on the job is a part of the rat race. Trying to problem-solve, working in large groups in open spaces, and sound levels: the list of demands on us is endless. Stress can affect all aspects of life; it can lead to heart disease, anxiety attacks, high blood pressure, and burnout.

All of these problems are a catastrophe for both employer and employee. The sacrifice both have invested into the working relationship can lead to distressing results for both sides of this equation. Hypnosis can reduce stress in the work place and lead to greater performance and healthier employees.

In the workplace stressful situations are difficult to avoid. Business must go on and often under time constraints and pressures to succeed. It is impossible to avoid stress, so it becomes necessary to cope with it. Despite its reputation, not all stress is necessarily a bad thing. Using hypnosis to deal with anxiety and stress can help separate the good from the bad.

There is a difference between what is known as eustress and chronic stress. Eustress is the positive stress, which makes us strive for greater achievement. It is the feeling you get, just hours before the deadline, that drives the project all the way home. This is the kind of stress an employer and an employee can utilize.

Chronic stress is the type of stress that can complicate a work environment and bring down a whole team. Unlike eustress, chronic stress does not kick-in only in necessary situations. Instead it develops when the lows and lulls in-between stressors become fewer and fewer.. It is this type of stress that often expresses itself physically in the form of anything from weight gain, to depression, to ulcers.

Chronic stress is a problem often dealt with my treating the symptoms. A sufferer may be treated with anti-depression pills for their depression and placed on a diet for their weight gain. Hypnosis gets to the root of the problem and can eliminate the symptoms in many cases.

Using hypnosis in the workplace can minimize the amount of chronic stress while allowing eustress to remain a useful workplace tool. Hypnosis gives individuals the abilities to control their stress levels on their own terms. Self-hypnosis, breathing techniques, and relaxation tools can be incorporated into the working environment when the stress-levels get out of control.

The Mind Works offers individuals and employers an extensive stress management programme. The programme is developed to suit the needs of the customer in the immediate and long term. The tools and skills you gain from the programme will provide a toolbox of stress cures for the everyday world of work.

Hypnosis Helps Cure your Jealousy
Jealousy doesn’t often seem unreasonable at first. Your partner or spouse stays late at work for the twelfth time this month. You decide to give them a call, just to see if they want something special when they return home, and there is no answer. You weren’t suspicious before, but the answering machine at the other end gives you a nagging doubt.

That doubt begins to grow when your partner returns home late into the night complaining about all of the tough work they have been doing at the office. You can try to reason away the issue; perhaps he/she went out to grab a bite or a cup of coffee when you called. Maybe he/she was on the phone with an important call and didn’t pick up.

A week later you notice that your partner left their email account open on your home PC. Just to be sure, you think; no real suspicions, but it wouldn’t hurt to check. In some cases, the jealousy spins so out of control that violence in the home is a product.

This is how the jealousy spins out of control. What starts out as small, panging, doubts grows into intrusive violations of privacy. You can sneak a look at email, at all of those text messages, in pockets and clothing doing laundry, and suddenly whether true or not, your jealousy crosses the line into becoming something threatening, in and of itself, to your relationship. If your partner discovers your treachery, they may become quite disheartened and suspicious themselves.

Those feelings, they started out reasonably enough, but how can you keep them under control? Many people feel helpless in this situation and turn to drugs, alcohol and other ways of blocking the feelings. Therapy and hypnotherapy are a way to resolve some of these feelings without turning to unhealthy channels.

The practice of hypnosis and hypnotherapy has helped many cope and deal with jealousy. Internationally renowned Licensed Hypnotherapist Terry Doherty works one-on-one with clients throughout Europe offering personally tailored-programmes to treat the range of problems associated with jealousy. His clients offer rave reports of the success achieved by his unique methods. He incorporates hypnosis with personal exploration that allow you to get to the root of your issues and problems. Terry can give you the tools that will help you reconcile the initial pangs of jealousy so that you can deal with them constructively and in a healthy manner.

During your sessions, you may work with visualisation, picturing and feeling how you want to be. This can lead to increased confidence and self-esteem. These positive thoughts and improved self-image will make you better able to cope with situations where your jealousy previously might have twisted out of control, and dissolve those horrible feelings.

These positive thoughts will help you not only in the relationship aspect of your life, but in other areas as well. Instead of focusing all of your energy and thought on your relationship and jealousy you have time and energy to focus on your career, your hobbies, and your interests.
Hypnosis gives you that burst of mental energy to succeed on the field
From elite athletes to Sunday joggers, the ability to maintain energy levels and drive to succeed can wax and wane on a regular basis. Training schedules reflect goals and plans. A marathon schedule, for example, often contains several types of runs. During the week interval training takes precedence when time is limited. At the weekend, long runs are a key element of marathon training and can take from two to three hours at a time. In order to remain motivated, the mind and body must be aligned in order to make it out the door.

An athlete can perfect their diet. You can utilize calories in and calories out. Protein bars, energy drinks, these are all ways one can improve and boost energy levels. However, the mental element of finding the way to achieving maximum energy and performance is often the toughest aspect.

Getting a good night sleep, resting, and hypnosis are three tools that can maximize mental performance before a marathon, big match, or any type of event which demands your maximum physical and mental performance. Hypnosis and the power of suggestion can optimise performance.

During a typical hypnosis session the athlete might receive suggestions that vary from increasing concentration amidst distraction to focusing on allowing muscles and ligaments to remain healthy and injury free. NLP, or Neuro-linguistic programming, has been shown to help motivation levels and thus keep energy levels high. Hypnosis and NLP reach the subconscious; they work against all of the negative energy that might be limiting.

Hypnosis and NLP has worked wonders with both individuals and teams. In team atmospheres, hypnosis can help to make teamwork even more effective as team members become more self-aware and thus more aware of others.

Athletes who have experienced hypnosis describe their post-hypnosis training sessions and competitions as more focused, more productive, and more invigorated. These feelings aren’t just experienced directly after the hypnosis session, but long into the future, with some maintenance work on breathing and self-hypnosis.

Some of the top athletes in the world use NLP and hypnosis to achieve maximum performance. Golfer Tiger Woods uses the technique to remain focused in competition. Tennis champion Jimmy Conners reportedly used hypnosis before some of his biggest matches.

Well-reputed licensed hypnotist Terry Doherty offers athletes custom developed hypnosis and NLP to help reach and achieve their goals. Terry has helped both teams and individuals improve their attention span and concentration through the power of suggestion, relaxation, and focus. Travelling directly to the homes and gyms of athletes, Terry has worked throughout Great Britain and Europe.
Can Hypnotherapy Really Help You Stop Smoking?
You’ve tried it all before. The patch, the gum, cold turkey, and something always brings you right back to square one. Maybe it’s your morning cup of coffee, a night at the pub, or a stressful day at work, but you light up again because your ‘willpower’ wasn’t storng enough.

Even if all of the over-the-counter techniques failed, you can still stop smoking with hypnotherapy. Unlike using your own willpower or the same chemicals found in cigarettes, hypnosis is a completely natural technique that focuses on eliminating the emotional and physical need to smoke.

Unlike cold turkey, you don’t have to be ‘strong’ and resist smoking. Hypnotherapy uses the power of suggestion to change the way your subconscious views smoking. You lose the desire to smoke, so you have nothing to fight against. You can have that morning cup of coffee without thinking twice about the cigarette that might be between your fingers.

So what about that stressful day? Hypnotherapy gives you the tools to face these stressful moments without needing to hide behind a cigarette. As your body becomes nicotine free you will also experience physical changes that lead to an overall feeling of improved health. You are more capable and prepared to face each new day as your authentic self, rather than nicotine addict.

According to New Scientist magazine hypnosis can be up to 10 times more effective than willpower after only one session! In the most comprehensive study ever conducted, by Frank Schmidt and research student Chockalingam Viswesvaran, over 70,000 smokers around the world documented their attempts to quit smoking. At the end of the study only one in five were successful, but hypnosis ranked the most efficient method to quit smoking .

Hypnotherapy is a common technique used in Hollywood, by an assortment of celebrities, trying to kick the habit. Comedian Ellen Degeneres, in a TV segment on her popular talk show, publicly tried to stop smoking using hypnotherapy, after testing other methods. The segment brought Ellen to tears as she faced her own struggles with previous attempts to stop smoking. With only one short session Ellen remains smoke free.

On average, it only takes one to three sessions to stop smoking using hypnotherapy. Now it’s even easier than ever to stop smoking with hypnotherapy, as hypnotherapist Terry Doherty can visit you at your own home. It’s time to stop talking about quitting, stop beating yourself up because you had that ‘one more cigarette’ Friday night at that party and take advantage of this great opportunity.
Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my! Hypnosis can fight your fears.
Aviophobia, the fear of flying, affects thousands of travellers every year. The symptoms are familiar to any phobia sufferer. A cold sweat, difficulty breathing, nausea, and eventually hyperventilation are only exacerbated by the recycled air and pressurized cabin.

The same symptoms strike the arachnophobe when they see a spider and an agoraphobe when faced with the outdoors. These are symptoms of anxiety that arise when we feel physically in danger and threatened. The problem is that our response is misplaced in these situations; our physical body is not in danger, yet we experience symptoms of the classic fight-or-flight response.

The word phobia comes from the Greek word for fear and is used in modern English to denote irrational and inappropriate fears. A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder. It occurs when the inability to deal with a fear of commonplace activities or things overwhelms and becomes an integral part of daily life. A 2005 study shows that between 8.7% and 18.1% of Americans suffer from some sort of phobia .

To cope with phobias it is common to avoid situations where the phobia may be encountered. In many cases this means excluding an important part of one’s life because of the inability to face a feared experience. As an extreme example, Danish director Lars von Trier refuses to fly. Despite his films being featured at many American film festivals, von Trier has never attended He takes the train to any appearances in Europe.

There is a great deal of discussion as to where phobias originate. Often times the response appears to be a type of learned behaviour. They are a reaction to previous situations and interpretations of previous experiences. That phobias are learned doesn’t make them less ‘real’ but it does mean they can be unlearned. Recording thoughts and feelings associated with the phobia may help to excavate the origins of the fear.

In order to address and eliminate phobias, the fear must be confronted and new reactions associated with it. Before confronting the feared activity it is important to face the idea itself and begin to combat the feelings of anxiety attached with the anticipation. Also, breathing skills, relaxing techniques, self-hypnosis and concentration exercises are all useful tools that can be practiced before the necessary confrontation. Hypnosis can provide the skill-set necessary in this difficult situation.

The preparation will provide a foundation to cope with the fear when the phobia is addressed head on. These techniques will help to ‘re-program’ the brain so that the initial associations with negative panic responses are replaced with new calm thoughts and techniques. Often times this process can take a considerable amount of time, but in many cases only one session is necessary.
Hypnosis helps you conquer your sexual issues
Dealing with sexual issues brings several other problems to the surface. Whether or not these sexual issues are of a psychological or organic origin, they can be difficult to face and deal with. They can cause stress, tension, and frustration that spill over into all aspects of life. Stress put on relationships can lead to increase of stress in the work place. Thus, one’s entire life is impacted.

Psychological sexual issues, those that cannot be directly linked to a medical illness or problem, can be dealt with on a long-term basis using hypnosis. Organic sexual issues are those that are linked directly to medical illness. These can be helped with hypnosis while continuing along the path recommended by your physician. Hypnosis can aid and speed the process along.

Often times, sexual issues become a revolving circle, once experienced, the nerves and anxiety lead inevitably to new issues and difficulties. After awhile, fear and anxiety can lead suffers to avoid intimacy leading to dire consequences for one’s personal life and relationships. By treating the sexual issues before they spin out of control, you can remain in control of your intimate relationships.

Many of the treatments for sexual issues can be intrusive and disruptive to your individual life. Using hypnosis can give you a set of skills to allow you to continue to manage your issues whenever they appear. You will not need pills, creams, or other apparatus. You do not need to plan long in advance, or worry about being prepared at unexpected moments.

Licensed hypnotist, Terry Doherty, is world-renowned for his techniques in dealing with intimate issues in a professional and personal manner. During a series of sessions he has perfected techniques to help learn relaxation techniques that can help clients deal and address stressful situations and anticipation. Breathing techniques and self-hypnosis, according to many treated patients, help you to handle anticipation and other anxious feelings that might arise. Once you have learned these skills, you can use them at any time in any place.

Often times dealing with intimate issues on a one-on-one basis can seem intrusive. According to former clients who have had now resolved issues, Terry’s techniques of holding sessions in the privacy of one’s own home, allow a more private and comfortable environment.
Hypnosis Helps Avoid Yo-Yo Dieting
These days it is difficult to open a newspaper without reading about the latest ‘weight scare.’ Obesity leads to diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure; it increases your risk for cancer, and may also ostracize you from society.

The media tells us we should be concerned not only about weight but also about losing weight. It seems there are right ways of doing this and wrong ways. No one seems to be completely in consensus as to what these correct ways of dieting are, but they are constantly offering up new schemes for quick weight loss with effortless results.

Once the weight is gone the real battle begins, the experts warn us. The difficulty maintaining weight loss isn’t the short-term goal oriented struggle that the diet was. It is a long term, at times unrewarding, lifestyle. This new lifestyle can reflect newly learned patterns of eating or it can revert to the old lifestyle. Pounds fall right back where they dropped away from just months before.

Most people don’t need a warning label to know that fast food, fatty foods, fried food and junk food are not the best choices for our health. Our choices in the kitchen aren’t always knowledge based. Studies show that our choices are often based on emotion, comfort, familiarity and, of course, hunger.

Despite the best of intentions and promises, the successful dieter faces temptation at every turn, for the rest of his/her life. It sounds disparaging, but the hard part is already done. Will power alone is not enough to withstand the return to former eating; it isn’t simply a matter of will.

Eating and gaining weight is not just a matter of calories in/calories out. Food often serves a larger purpose in our lives. It can be soothing, rewarding and even luxurious. Changing our patterns and attitude about food takes more than a diet.

Using hypnosis can help you to train your mind so that the desire to continue to eat fattening foods is no longer a part of your consciousness. Will power doesn’t have to fight the battle alone. With only a few short sessions, you can be given the tools necessary to maintain your healthy weight for the rest of your life.

The rewards are countless. Not only will you feel lighter, healthier and more energetic, you will no longer have the internal battle over food. Learned self-hypnosis techniques can assist you outside of your sessions to give you the ability to deal with food as food, and not as anything else.
A Case Study: Mark Quits Smoking with Hypnosis
Twenty years ago, at the age of 13, Mark picked up his first pack of cigarettes. While he doesn’t remember the first smoke, it probably took some effort, but was well worth the extra points it won him on the playground. That was a long time ago, but twenty years later, Mark still smoked a pack a day, every day, in sickness and in health, come rain or shine.

For a long time Mark enjoyed his daily cigarettes. The first cigarette of the day was a chance to wake up over coffee. At 10:00 am he could take a short break from work to go to the smoking lounge to light up. His co-workers who didn’t smoke worked through their break and Mark savoured the few minutes he got to himself.

About five years ago, Mark made a bet with his best friend Jerry that he could go for one month without smoking a cigarette. The two decided to put all of the money they spent on cigarettes in a jar for a month and use it towards a trip to Spain during the spring. Mark was completely surprised to find that he couldn’t even last two days without ending up back at the shop buying another pack of cigs. Mark’s friend Jerry was just as unsuccessful and the two spent their spring holiday exploring their hometown instead.

After his first struggle, Mark realized that his addiction to cigarettes was more powerful than he thought. He decided that will power wasn’t enough to defeat his addiction so he decided to try a nicotine gum. The gum would keep his craving in check while his body got used to being nicotine free. This technique helped some of the physical symptoms like shaking, cold sweats, and muscle aches that he experienced the first time. Once the physical symptoms passed, Mark still couldn’t find something to keep his hands busy. When he was at the pub, at a dinner party, or even just at work, the constant fidgeting and movement sent him right back to his pack of cigarettes to deal with his stress and frustration.

It was after this second attempt and failure that Mark began searching high and low for a solution to his problem. He saw an ad for hypnotherapist as a way to quit smoking. He was curious and decided to look into hypnotherapy. Mark visited www.mind-works.co.uk and read more about using hypnotherapy to quit smoking. The website claimed that one session was all that was necessary, so Mark figured he had nothing to lose. The hypnotherapist, Terry Doherty, came directly to his home and the session took all of 75 minutes.

After the session, where Mark visualised himself as a non-smoker with an improved sense of smell, he did not feel that twinge of craving for cigarettes. He didn’t feel his hands shake or feel the need to fidget with something. It’s been a year since Mark gave up cigarettes and he has since been back to all of his old haunts. The morning cup of coffee, the evening pub crawl, even the breaks at work have turned into fresh air breaks. One session of 75 minutes with hypnotherapist Terry Doherty of mind-works accomplished more than all of Mark’s will power, gum, and dedication combined.
